The Tax Specialist is responsible for tax reporting and assisting with tax audits to maximize tax savings opportunities, integrating Brazil tax planning opportunities aligned with Tax Manager/Supervisor, assisting
Strategic Business Unit tax related issues and analyzing legislative proposals to maximize tax savings opportunities and contribute to shareholder value while fulfilling tax payment and reporting obligations. The Sr. Tax Analyst is also responsible to assist Tax Manager/Supervisor in developing tax controversy
strategy and advocating the Company's position in tax examinations.
Compliance-related activities involve reviewing annual tax filing from IT and VAT prepared by the team, reviewing projections and evaluating the tax effect, and providing data for the Company's accounting for
income taxes (FAS 109), FIN 48 and Sarbanes-Oxley process.
The Sr. Tax Analyst will need to have a good interface with internal business clients, other practice areas within the Tax Department and outside tax advisors.
You Must Have:
Bachelor's Degree in tax or accounting.
A minimum of 5 years directly related and progressively responsible tax experience.
Mixture of professional firm and industry experience desired.
In-depth technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations in Brazil. Good understanding of Brazil tax rules (direct and indirect taxes).
Knowledge on GAAP Financial Accounting/FAS 109.
Advanced English Level.
Excellent business acumen with a sound understanding of the tax implications of multi-national manufacturing Company.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop innovative and creative solutions to complex issues.
Effective presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure with strict time constraints.
