Facebook is seeking an experienced Strategic Partner Manager to develop, execute and maintain relationships with key partners in Brazil. This role includes a broad range of Partners in the News segment such as newspapers, magazines, broadcasters, digital players and journalists. The Strategic Partner Manager will identify, plan and execute initiatives that build relationship with publishers and will ensure that these relationships meet the strategic objectives of partners and Facebook. A demonstrated passion for the news and publishing industry and how it intersects with technology are musts for this job.
The Partnerships team is the external arm of Facebook and works with the world’s largest and most exciting organizations on high-profile projects across the full suite of Facebook Inc. products. This position is full-time and located in our São Paulo office and will report to the LATAM Head of News Partnerships in São Paulo.
Identify strategic partners and have a clear priority vision to educate them on Facebook’s platform and technology, manage its implementation and optimization
Manage strategy, implementation and optimization of Facebook’s partnerships with major News publishers
Track, analyze and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partner relationships
Become the primary point of contact for and maintain strong direct executive relationships with Facebook’s key partners
Proactively resolve business and operational issues with partners
Collaborate with partners to develop innovative and high-impact social integrations, and drive operational management of partnership projects
Work with relevant internal teams to ensure that Facebook is taking partner input into account in product and policy decisions Be an internal advocate within Facebook for partners, including with product teams.
Fluent in English.
BA/BS degree with outstanding academic performance. MBA preferred
10+ years experience, including 5+ years of related product management, partner or account management experience
Basic technical knowledge with deep knowledge of the Facebook Platform
Proven track record managing media partnerships and establishing long term relationships
Knowledge of Brazil cultural and media landscape, including TV, Radio, print and digital with existing network of relationship
Excellent project management experience, with the ability to lead and handle multiple time-sensitive, cross-functional projects
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and the ability to clarify and summarize complex issues
Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans
Creativity to suggest and build products/services that brings relevancy to the usage of Facebook/Instagram platform, that scales reach and impact
Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally
Strong sense of prioritization and focus is required
Rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
