We currently have an opening for a Senior Tax Analyst focused on iTunes operations to be based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This person will play an integral part in ensuring accuracy and compliance for both tax and accounting books for Apple businesses in Brazil.
*7+ years of related working experience as Senior Tax Analyst/Specialist/Coordinator in accounting firm, software or industry environments, preferably a multinational corporation
*Direct Tax Calculation (Income Tax and Social Contribution);
*Preparation and Review of deferred taxes (assets and liabilities);
*Preparation of Brazil Corporate Income Tax compliance, including ASC 740, monthly payments, transfer pricing, R&D and other direct tax compliance;
*Experience with day to day tax compliance including tax return filling working with stakeholders including Accounting to prepare tax calculation records ensuring tax returns accuracy;
*Preparation and submission of Direct tax fillings (ECF);
*Analysis of the financial statements of large and medium-sized enterprises;
*Corporate tax experience is mandatory;
*Review tax procedures in order to find opportunities for tax savings and avoid risks of assessments. Assist in implementing these opportunities;
*Assist external consultants in special tax projects;
*Attend and respond to tax authorities’ requests regarding Direct Tax;
*Brazilian GAAP accounting work experience and transfer pricing experience (especially knowledge with new International Tax Regulations OECD/ BEPS/ BRAZIL TP legislation);
*Experience with Brazilian indirect taxes – ISS, Pis and Cofins and experience with Brazilian withholding taxes on cross-border transactions are consider a plus.
*Experience with elaboration and submission of indirect tax fillings – Sped Contribuições, DIRF, GISS online and EFD;
*Experience with SAP and Mastersaf tax system;
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
*Ability to operate across multiple geographies and cultures;
*Mature, responsible, driven and able to work independently with minimum supervision;
*Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skill;
Based in Sao Paulo, the Senior Tax Analyst is a replacement position within Tax area created to support hardware operations for our entity in Brazil. This position will work closely with numerous business team within the company to provide tax calculation, reporting, compliance activities, account reconciliation and all related activities.
- Calculate Income Tax, Social Contribution and withholding taxes across hardware business;
- Tax reports filling and submission;
- Indirect and direct tax reconciliations between fiscal and accounting books;
- Enhancing partnerships with internal and external business areas;
- Participating in the external audit and ensure the accuracy of tax accounts;
- Maintaining and communicating knowledge of past, present and potential future Brazilian tax laws, regulations, rulings, procedures and court decisions that impact business.
