About the position
This is a key Institutional Relations position. You will be responsible to help driving the company through a complex and challenging regulatory environment. As 99’s Senior Institutional Relations Associate - Brasília, your role is to understand Federal´s and local`s regulatory landscape and assist the company and the government to create urban mobility solutions.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about 99 and the sharing economy, and have proven experience in managing regulatory issues. You must have the agility and the speed of a business unit combined with a technical background of political and law understanding and outstanding communication skills.
Work closely with the Head of Institutional Relations to implement political and policy strategy for Federal and local levels;
Develop and support strategy and lead public policy Federal engagement for local product launch;
Guarantee that 99’s strategic projects are in the right path;
Take special attention and lead effort amongst Representatives to consolidate jurisdictions ensuring that different regulatory frameworks across the country support ridesharing apps like 99 (and other bills related to our business);
Participate in policy briefings, public meetings and advocacy efforts before the House of Representatives;
Coordinate with the 99’s leadership team and communications team on advocacy; communications including writing content for newsletters, blogs, websites, and other Foundation forums;
Conduct and oversee policy research and draft position statements, when appropriate;
Provide recommendations for Foundation’s policy engagement activities;
Assist in the development and management of effective working relationships with key public officials at Federal and local levels through education, participation, and involvement on 99’s initiatives.
What we are looking for:
Excellent academic background, preferably with a degree in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations or other related field;
Relevant experience in Government Relations;
Understanding of the political process at either a local, state or federal level;
Multi Tasking abilities;
Experience working in an analytical and quantitative research capacity in academia, think tanks, government or the private sector;
Someone who can get things done. No bullshit;
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation);
Ready for big challenges and calm under pressure;
