As the Medical and Market Access Manager you shape an adequate approach for medical, scientific and decision makers within healthcare systems in Latam. You are defining and implementing the overall strategic definition and priorities for the region as well as supporting affiliates with adequate tools.This position can be based in any country in latin america.

Your key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Create and implement the long term Medical Affairs and Access vision and strategy. Anticipate and assesses business needs ensuring excellence and compliance with all internal and external standards and trends
* Ensure the local medical and access teams have appropriate awareness and knowledge of the drivers of Medical Access as it relates to demonstration of medical value, health technology assessment (HTA) and healthcare system infrastructure
* Consult medical teams to iincorporate strategy and tactics aligned to Medical Access objectives and provide Market Access and HTA guidance and support on product launches
* Represent Roche in the external industry at conferences and initiatives related to Medical Access and maintain awareness of industry trends. You are a senior representative for Roche Medical Affairs in industry-wide initiatives
* Establish and implement appropriate policies and standards for all activities of the respective medical and scientific initiatives
* Ensure effective collaboration and communication between various stakeholders and functions and guarantee alignment of plans with the sales and marketing teams
* Maintain the highest levels of scientific and clinical knowledge required for focus areas

To be successful in this role you bring the following qualifications:
* Medical Doctor or Life Sciences degree, ideally combined with an MBA
* Strong experience within Market Access and good experience in Medical Affairs, preferably in a regional role
* Professional experience within the pharmaceutical industry with broad scientific, therapeutic area and R&D expertise as well as know-how in pre- and post launch activities
* Experience in leading access-related initiatives (internal or external) and in working with medical societies, medical scientific communities and patient associations
* Deep business understanding to identify and address the relevant medical needs of clinical practice, and functional Medical Affairs expertise to shape the medical strategy supporting the optimal use of Roche products in clinical practice
* Strong leadership and influencing capabilities in a matrix structure and excellent stakeholder management skills
* Fluency in English. Spanish and Portuguese are a plus
* Ability to travel frequently (~40% of time)
