Your challenge

Cardiology is one of the four growth pillars of Philips. To accelerate our growth ambition of doubling our business by 2020, we are currently looking for a R&D Manager for our Cardiology Informatics (CI) business.

The R&D Manager has the primary responsibility to ensure the self-organizing, self-managing teams to achieve its goals, through continuous improvement and internalize Agile practices. To develop people, processes and way of working to achieve operational and functional excellence to deliver consistently and in the most efficient way. They do so by coaching, implementing and supporting Agile and Lean practices and identifying and removing impediments.

Your responsibilities
* Competency Development and general management of the team
* People development and management of the team
* Provide functional guidance to the scrum teams
* Responsible for high levels of employee engagement
* Sustainable, high performance, predictable & happy teams
* Responsible for talent management and retention
* Responsible for removing impediment for the progress of the teams across program increments
* Responsible for operational and functional excellence
* Act as a change agent
* Facilitates and supports Release planning events as applicable
* Responsible for process compliance, quality and regulatory aspects of the development
* Drive continuous improvement in the teams and the wider organization
* Measurable, continuously improving quality
* Collaborate with others in the Release Train for Solution Delivery
* Facilitates product level Risk Management Report of the progress of the Scrum Team with agreed KPI’s
* Create transparent Environment
* Awareness of scope of work

We are looking for

  • Solidexperience in coaching and mentoring a team of10-20developers/testers
  • Experience in general management relating to teams and people – resource management, budgetmanagement, knowledge management
  • Good knowledge of Software/qualitydevelopment and control methods
  • Demonstrable knowledge of multiple techniques under both Agile and Lean umbrellas
  • Goodcommunication and documentation skills,ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
  • Fluent in English:speaking,reading,and writing. The team interacts with groupsat other locations asThe Netherlands, United States and India
  • High level of emotionalintelligence
  • Proactive, independent, target oriented and self-motivated
  • Solid experience working within multi-national product development lifecyclesis preferred
  • Related experience in a medical device or other regulated industry ispreferred
  • CertifiedAgile/Lean orSAFeAgilistequivalentispreferred

    Prós: Ambiente sofisticado, produto interessante, benefícios, possibilidade de trabalhar fora do Brasil. Dependendo de onde você trabalhar, poderá ter uma equipe que lhe ajuda a se desenvolver.

    Contras: - Existem muitas pessoas que ficam 'planejando', andando de um lado p/ o outro e no final decidem por prazos irreais. - Indicadores de algumas áreas é medido de forma totalmente falha. - Ninguém tem coragem de apontar os erros dentro da empresa p/ diretoria, todos falam somente o que eles querem ouvir, sem se preocupar se está indo pro lado certo ou não. - Pressa p/ fazer tudo, existem clientes que mandam mais que alguns diretores. Então se eles pedem, não importa se você tem aula depois do trabalho, se marcou um jantar com a família, você só sairá de lá depois que entregar o que o cliente X pediu. - Alguns setores são protegidos da diretoria, muitas vezes é um parto para conseguir ajudar um cliente porque eles são intocáveis, então o suporte ou R&D precisa fazer milagre p/ resolver.

    Conselhos para presidência: Reconheçam as áreas que realmente 'sustentam' a empresa. Contratem mais colaboradores, a maioria dos setores que tem mais demanda trabalha na linha vermelha, na pressão.. Por consequência a qualidade do produto cai e desmotiva os demais.
