Public Policy Manager

Facebook is seeking a policy manager to be responsible for Facebook's intelligence, project development and outreach initiatives in Brazil. As part of the public policy team, you will work on some of the most challenging and interesting policy and regulatory issues for the tech industry in Brazil. We are looking for candidates with previous experience working with government, NGOs, tech companies, business consulting firms, or related organizations to develop joint initiatives between internal and external stakeholders to help protect openness and promote a regulatory environment that is open to innovation. This role will be responsible for developing and executing internal and external projects, analyzing proposed legislation, building and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders and other technology companies, working with internal teams and external consultants on assessing policy risks as we build and deploy new products. Successful candidates will be excited to build relationships and think creatively about how to best work together solving hard regulatory problems for the tech industry. This is an extraordinary opportunity to join our growing global public policy team and work on dynamic programs in an exciting, fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position located in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assess and provide intel on proposed regulation
* Develop and execute project, both internally and externally
* Work with internal teams and external consultants on assessing policy risks as we build and deploy new products
* Build relationships, conduct outreach, develop initiatives and support third party activities to address complex policy challenges
* Promote activities to protect an open Internet and foster innovation in Brazil
* Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of projects developed
* Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where processes are fluid and creative solutions are the norm

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum bachelor's degree, or equivalent in economics, business, communications, PR, international relations, law, public policy or a relevant subject or discipline required. Advanced degree a plus
* 10 + years of experience working with public policy, business consulting, technology, technology policy issues or related areas
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills
* Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
* Strong analytic and writing skills, proactive work ethic, and strong interpersonal skills needed
* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think and move quickly, juggle multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, find pragmatic and creative solutions to business issues, provide concise and business-focused advice, and make sound judgments under tight deadlines
* Fluent in Portuguese and English
