Product Manager/Strategy 3-ProdDev

Strategic in-region role bridging Product lines with the Field for country
specific needs.
Part of the Strategy & Solution Management team for Oracle Hospitality This is
a dedicated team of domain experts who focus on the unique legal, fiscal, and
regional business requirements to help ensure our products meet the needs for
the global markets we serve.
The role is responsible for the strategy, roadmap prioritization, and
requirements definition of fiscal and localization solutions HGBU.
Work closely with Localization strategy team, development, and regional sales
& consulting teams to define market priorities. Understand competitive
environment and identify industry trends and key differentiators that would
give us a market advantage.. Create & maintain requirements documents,
business cases, legal compliance whitepapers, statements of direction, and
global readiness by product.
Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for
the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s)
as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental
activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within
budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will define product
specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define
product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product
strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other
groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product
releases based on corporate priorities.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully
competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or
supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience
relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related
experience.

Hospitality industry experience and English proficiency required; proficiency
in both Portuguese and Spanish languages and software
Localization/Fiscalization experience preferred.

    Prós: A empresa investe bastante na educação dos funcionários, sempre ocorrem oficinas dentro da empresa, está num processo de transformação apoiando muito uma gestão mais aberta, com reconhecimento e respeito entre as pessoas.

    Contras: Apesar do movimento de transformação, ainda há muitas áreas, gestores, que não se adaptaram ao novo estilo da empresa, tornando o clima de trabalho pesado e pouco reconhecido.

    Prós: Empresa gigante e com boa cultura para aprendizado. Aprende-se muito com todos. Extremamente self-service, o que é difícil no começo, mas qdo se acostuma, traz grandes vantagens, é muito bom ser independente e desenvolver seu trabalho a sua maneira.

    Contras: Muita pressão e competição entre os próprios vendedores. O que torna as pessoas muitas vezes mais focadas em seu próprio resultado, do que nos objetivos da empresa

    Conselhos para presidência: Investir mais na Diversidade. Porque a questão étnico-racial não é investida, a equidade de gênero na Liderança não é investida. Também seria mais interessante ver pessoas de renda e contextos sociais diferentes. Existe uma bolha, que precisa ser rompida. A única meta atingida é de PCD, que é um ponto muito positivo, mas precisa ser expandido.
