Brazil Product Manager - Oracle NetSuite


About the job:


Latin America is one of the fastest growing regions for Oracle NetSuite, and
Brazil is one of the drivers for such growth. As a Country Product Manager for
Oracle NetSuite, you will be responsible for representing Oracle NetSuite in
front of prospects, customers and business analysts. You will also act as the
customer representative in interactions with the product team, defining the
solution scope and collaborating with various development teams across the
globe on the delivery of product enhancements.


Responsibilities:

· Maintain up-to-date understanding of local statutory and legal
requirements
· Maintain understanding of culturally expected ERP functionality and
workflows
· Define product strategy and roadmap for the Brazilian Edition of
NetSuite
· Investigate and recommend required Country-specific changes to core
application features, e.g. Tax Engine, Reporting, Multi-Currency
· Work with development, QA, documentation and other product managers
through the product development life cycle
· Collect, analyze, maintain and distribute information about
competing products for the local market
· Provide product information to meet a variety of internal and
external needs including sales collateral, press releases, web site copy and
internal training
· Identify and work with local partners to deliver country-specific
integrated product offerings leveraging the SuiteCloud platform and related
technologies
· Local spokesperson for Product Launches and PR activity
· Present at Prospecting Events
· Review and Localize Press Releases, Launch Presentations
· Contribute to Country PR Pipeline and Localized Messaging
· Contribute to NetSuite Newsletter and other company communications
· Advise/Consult on complex/strategic prospect opportunities
· Act as an escalation point for urgent customer issues
· Act as the link between HQ, development offices and our local sales
offices
· Attend Key Prospect Meetings
· Marquee customer relationship building
· Customer Council Meetings

Qualifications:

· B.Sc. in Accounting, Business Administration, System Information,
Computer Science or related courses
· Fluency in Portuguese and English
· A proved understanding of accounting and local accounting standards,
business practices, processes and statutory requirements
· A proved understanding of product development lifecycle and
processes
· Excellent communication and cross functional teamwork skills
· Superior analytical, writing, verbal and time management skills
· Self-starter with the ability to work in a very fast paced
environment
· Ability to analyze problems and create solutions
· Ability to make recommendations and decisions independently
· Strong customer and business focus
· Strong leadership and influencing skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· A track record of successfully working with development, QA, and
technical writing to deliver quality products is a plus

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for
the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s)
as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental
activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within
budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will define product
specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define
product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product
strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other
groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product
releases based on corporate priorities.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully
competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or
supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience
relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related
experience.

    Prós: A empresa faz muito pelo funcionário, propõe um ambiente colaborativo e nos dá autonomia para propor novas ideias. Salário e benefícios são os melhores que já vi no mercado.

    Contras: Muita competição por se tratar de uma empresa de vendas. E boa parte dos gerentes tem skills de vendas e negociação , mas não de gestão. Mudanças são constantes e nem sempre muito bem planejadas.

    Conselhos para presidência: Planejar melhor antes de agir. Incentivar a competitividade mas com certo limite, pois isso muitas vezes atrapalha os resultados.

    Prós: Flexibilidade de horário na minha área, home office, garagem para PNEs cadeirantes, acesso e exposição de ideias com meus diretos e aos líderes da empresa. A estrutura arquitetônica é boa bem como a localização. O plano médico é muito bom. Reconhecimento pela liderança do trabalho do colaborador sendo acima e além da expectativa com homenagem e determinado valor monetário.

    Contras: O piso do estacionamento para visitantes é péssimo para deambulação. É necessário treinamentos para não usar banheiros adaptados entre outros. Faixa salárial é ótima quando entra mas, ao solicitar promoção ou aumento salarial não é aceito e raramente acontece. Dessa maneira corre o risco de não reter talento no time e na empresa. Gera desmotivação nas pessoas. A única forma de ter aumento ou promoção é migrando para outra área ou empresa. Muitas vezes o sistema fica lento, como por exemplo internet.

    Conselhos para presidência: Sei que a demanda de procura para trabalhar na Oracle é muito grande, mas, reter talentos é uma arte e desafio. É uma empresa de vendas, mas, existe todo um time dedicado ao suporte da mesma que merece reconhecimento e atenção: backstage. Os colaboradores PNEs merecem ter esse tipo de cuidado também...
