Partner Engineer - Platforms

Partner Engineering is a highly technical team that works with our strategic partners to help them build, grow and monetize their apps and services using the Facebook platform. In this role, you will engage with some of the world's most influential companies and work closely with our world-class engineering and product teams. You will represent Facebook at developer events and conferences, build sample code and write documentation that helps developers implement Facebook's tools and technologies. The ideal candidate will combine excellent technical, product and business skills to make our partners successful and improve the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Deeply understand Facebook’s platform products and their underlying implementation

  • Define and execute on a strategy to drive adoption of Facebook platform

  • Work closely with our strategic partners to integrate with Facebook’s platform products

  • Be a subject matter technical expert, and have strategic influence on partners and internal teams at Facebook

  • Represent Facebook and its platform offerings at developer events

  • Develop samples and other materials to share with the broader Facebook developer community

Minimum Qualifications

  • Fluent English and Portuguese

  • 5+ years of previous experience as software engineer, technical consultant or partner/sales engineer

  • Software development skills with experience building software developed in (at least one) Python, PHP, C/C++, Ruby, C# or Java

  • Understanding of the Mobile (Android, iOS) and Web technology stack (HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, REST)

  • Communication skills including experience presenting to technical and business audiences

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with or in support of diverse communities

    Prós: Ótimos aprendizados, fácil comunicação entre os membros da equipe de desenvolvimento.. ambiente de alto padrão e agradável.. amigos dispostos a ajudar..

    Contras: Não há muitos pontos negativos em relação a empresa facebook, porém não tinha muito esforço na equipe... muitas pessoas não ajudavam quando precisava, e com isso fazia que tivesse um ambiente desagradável na equipe..

    Prós: Equipe integra, ambiente de trabalho 100% tranquilo e amigável. Liberdade de opinião, reuniões de pauta, planos de carreira com diversas possibilidades de crescimento dentro da empresa.

    Contras: Salário fixo e vr/va muito baixos. Treinamento insuficiente para preparar o colaborador antes de ir para a linha atender, exigências surreais para chances de primeiro emprego. Como exigir o inglês é espanhol fluentes e comprovados em cursos, logo fui desligada pois aprendi a falar as duas línguas sozinha, sem curso para provar.

    Conselhos para presidência: Conversa, tudo se resolve na base da boa e velha conversa.
