The Restaurant Operations Manager - Analytics Focus role is a unique opportunity to help grow one of Uber's newest services: Uber Eats, which is in the process of expanding in a big way.
The candidate would be required to influence and drive restaurant account management decisions based on deep analysis of metrics KPIs and behaviours. In addition, the person will give better visibility and understanding of KPIs, so the team, as a whole, can benefit from extra clarity of easily accessible and interpretable data. Furthermore, the person will support multiple account management processes via building and checking hypothesis coupled with executing on these findings.
It demands a unique combination of analytical drive, prioritization, managing multiple projects and stakeholders in parallel, and process architecting abilities. This is a fast-paced, growing role, and this person will work with the Uber Eats operations team along with headquarters-based engineering, product, and process teams to drive significant evolution in the Uber Eats business.
What you'll do
Perform high value analyses to help make business decisions and then execute on those decisions
Drive analysis on important strategic decisions in order to optimize our regional business
Build, maintain, and communicate detailed reporting models to assist city-level, regional, and expansion efforts
Process Scaling: Uber is a company that moves fast and does things at large scale. Help design processes, whether it be prospecting, onboarding, account management, etc. in such a way that they fuel, rather than act as a bottleneck, on growth.
Develop analytical frameworks to support the company in new markets and products
Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes to keep our local teams as efficient as possible
Menu Design and Expansion Planning: Structure experiments and conduct analysis to grow basket size & usage, develop optimal restaurant mix, and dictate when we can expand geographically and temporally.
Collecting and Acting on Feedback. Create processes and account management tools to stay in close communication with restaurant partners and incorporate feedback into process improvements on the ground.
Be resourceful and take initiative. Take ownership of Uber Eats in your city and do everything you can to enhance the quality of our services.

What you'll need
3 years of experience in investment banking / consulting / business intelligence / strategy or related areas is preferred but we will consider candidates with less experience if they meet our other requirements
SQL proficiency strongly preferred, but knowledge of other coding languages, allowing for fast pick-up of SQL is also acceptable
Excellent data skills: you'll need a data-driven decision making mentality, sound business judgment, and the ability to back your analysis up with deep analytical thinking
Some high-growth operations or startup experience is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering, Math or similar field is preferred
Clear communicator. You are a clear and concise communicator with the ability to synthesize a lot of information quickly, highlight the key takeaways, and disseminate actionable insights
Experience creating and optimizing processes
Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment and adopt a generalist mindset
Roll up your sleeves and get into the details approach.
Solid understanding of a variety of business models (we're still proving ours)
Passion for the on-demand delivery space, and food delivery in particular
