MSL – Oncology


Job summary

Field based health care professional that has scientific expertise about
therapeutic area, with deep knowledge about oncology. The main purpose of the
job is to aggregate value to the company by exchanging scientific information
with external stakeholders (KOLs, investigators, payers and decision makers)
in order to collect intelligence about the market environment and research
opportunities, identify data gaps and manage key relationships for the company
strategy. The MSL also provides information to internal customers (clinical
operations, business intelligence, pharmacovigilance, customer information,
marketing, HEMA – Health Economics and Market Access, sales force and sales
force training).


Key responsibilities –

• Map and profile Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in therapeutic area, based on
academic, research or leadership profile;
• Develop relationships with KOLs, exchanging scientific information and
identifying data gaps regarding the therapeutic area;
• Engage KOL through one-to-one interactions, providing unbiased tailored
scientific information;
• Identify potential research sites and investigators;
• Provide scientific support to company sponsored trials and develop new
concepts from captured field gaps;
• React to initiated investigator study proposal, according to internal
guidelines, discussing the concepts with healthcare providers and providing
scientific support along the study;
• Provide field competitive intelligence to medical affairs team;
• Attend conferences, symposium and continued medical education events,
focusing on learning and gathering scientific information;


Other responsibilities –


• Interact with KOLs in company related activities, such as round tables and
CMEs;
• Scientific support and training to sales force;
• Provide scientific support to clinical operations, responding to specific
requests from investigators/site team;
• Provide scientific information to stakeholders and decision makers in order
to ensure patient access and support reimbursement, along with the HEMA team.

This position reports to a medical manager.

Qualificações

Educational level –
• Master’s degree in any healthcare career;
• Advanced English skills (focus on reading and oral comprehension)

General requirements –

• Excellent communication with cutting edge knowledge and presentation skills;
• Relationship focused;
• Professionally mature, capable of self-management and reporting activities
at distance;
• Passionate about learning and teaching;
• Able to travel constantly (travel time availability around 70%)
Previous experience as MSL in Oncology specialty
