About the position

The Manager of Airports, Venues and National Events will be a highly strategic, creative, and insight-driven business builder and leader, responsible for managing and directing all of 99’s decentralized airports, venues and events operations and marketing efforts throughout Brazil and Latin America.

This is an business leadership position reporting directly to our COO. Working most closely with the Operations Leadership Team, this person will set the in-market strategy for 99, while ensuring airports, venues and events drive brand equity and awareness at a local level.

We are looking for an influential individual with significant experience leading experiential projects and programs for a major consumer company or government.

Our ideal candidate is a stellar relationship builder. S/he should thrive in a fast-paced environment where multitasking is the norm. And have experience managing decentralized teams of through groundbreaking change.

Your Mission

Define and execute the airport, venue (e.g., convention center, malls), national events (e.g., World Cup, Carnival) strategy and business plan for 99.

Set the true north for creative and branding excellence across Brazil and Latin America’s large venues and events. Launch innovative, fully integrated marketing initiatives across Digital, Social, Offline, BTL and Comms.

You’ll identify the segments that represent an opportunity, lockdown and leverage major partners that put us in front of those segments, and develop engaging campaigns that convince those people to try their first ride/drive with 99.

Interact and build relationships with local teams that are consistent with the national experiential marketing strategy.

Partner with regional operations teams and marketing teams to translate their objectives into new value-added businesses.

Partner with the Policy & Comms teams to coordinate and amplify experiential marketing activity across political and media platforms.

Lead and inspire your national and matrixed regional teams to execute world-class quality work, while maintaining the agility and speed of a startup.

Develop and refine key processes to ensure efficient collaboration and orchestration of work across the national Operations team and key cross-functional partners.

Travel extensively to regional hubs around the Brazil and Latin America.

What we're looking for

Minimum 5-6 years in business and law with experience across policy, legal, field, channel, and demand management.

Deep understanding of Brazil's consumer, transportation-policy and media landscapes.

Born to network and negotiate. If there's a major event in town, you know about it and know how to get in and expand your contact list. You know the general managers at the best restaurants and bars. You're a people person with persuasive communication skills. You possess the ability to interact and be authentic with executives and to provide advice and guidance that reflects an understanding of their business and leadership style.

Experience in strategic launch planning and the ability to create programs that return results and enduring business value.

Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment and adopt a generalist do-what-it-takes mindset. Startup "I bust my ass because I love it" approach.

Experience in organizational planning and the ability to lead through change.

Experience creating and managing budgets, calculating ROI, and explaining performance of managed programs.

Experience leading and inspiring geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams.

Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills, inspiring personality.

Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.

The ability to unify a highly decentralized team around strategic goals and core brand and marketing objectives.

A results-driven mindset with a comprehensive understanding of data and analytics, and a proven ability to translate numbers and results to a wide variety of stakeholders.

The ability to think high-level about a large organization, while also getting into the weeds when required to action against an urgent crisis or opportunity.

Advanced level of English. Spanish a plus.

    Prós: O principal ponto positivo na empresa é o quanto é possível aprender na 99. É uma empresa de fluxo rápido e contínuo de informações, o que nos possibilita aperfeiçoarmos muito em diversas áreas. A flexibilidade em mudar de setor também é um ponto muito positivo pois é a oportunidade de conhecer diversas áreas em um curto intervalo de tempo de forma efetiva.

    Contras: Como as coisas acontecem muito rápido e a empresa cresceu muito rápido, a gestão da informação não é tão boa, enfia as coisas vão se perdendo ao longo do tempo e do Brasil.
