IT Procurement Category Manager

The IT Procurement Manager be responsible for managing the cross-sector IT
Procurement Categories (Application Development and Maintenance,
Infrastructure and Software) for Johnson & Johnson Companies in Latin America.
This individual will identify, develop and direct the implementation of
Procurement goals, projects and category strategy across the region. Plan and
direct the organization’s activities and deliver against targets for financial
performance, quality, and service and compliance adherence.

It will provide Regional Leadership for developing end-to-end category
leadership such as category strategy development, building and maintaining
strong relationships within the regional business partners, the IT Procurement
Category Organization, managing the strategic procurement projects and the key
supplier relationships.

The IT Procurement Manager´s scope of responsibilities include:
• Drive the IT Procurement vision for, with and through the Regional
stakeholder community in line with the Global IT Category Strategy.
• Interface directly with the Regional IT Leadership Team, Managers and key
stakeholders to assure alignment of JNJ’s objectives are met, including
quality, reliability, innovation and cost.
• Understands operational considerations and the regional business
peculiarities. Identifies business demand requirements and partners with the
key regional IT stakeholders to deliver annual value improvements and drives
competitive advantage.
• Understand long range requirements of the business partners and engage in
strategic planning and partnering to ensure alignment
• Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth
commitments
• Build and maintain relationships throughout JNJ that results in dynamic
interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical
to the development of optimal approaches and solutions
• Develop deep supplier relationships with the Regional strategic suppliers to
include data review and analysis, performance management and development and
improvement of end to end value, and bring innovation to the business
• Identify, develop and direct the implementation of IT Procurements goals and
category strategies, based on deep subject matter expertise and an informal
understanding of the Regional and Global industry/market dynamics
• Escalate issues that may impact the Regional and Global Procurement
organization accordingly
• Develop and Manage the Regional Business Plan /Project Portfolio in line
with the Regional Business Needs and Global Category Strategy
• Attend both Regional Procurement and Global Procurement Category Calls in a
regular basis, providing actionable information and strategic insights related
to the region.

Qualificações

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Required Bachelor Degree
• Fluent English is mandatory
• Broad-based understanding of business operations and practices and core
Procurement areas of focus (Spend Management: Category Management and
Supplier Management).
• Leadership, communication, influencing, collaboration and talent development
skills are required
• Able to prioritize requests, and propose effective cost/customer service
alternatives when necessary.
• Ability to show judgment in developing new approaches and resolving issues
• Customer Orientation (building and maintaining strong relationships with J&J
Management
• Project management skills
• Business Acumen
• Strong verbal and written communication skill
• Ability to continuously improve the organization
• Flexibility to travel in a regular basis to the São José dos Campos site (~
twice a week)

    Prós: A empresa possui uma cultura bem interessante, com um ambiente interno bem acolhedor. Os benefícios fornecidos são bem interessantes e valem a pena.

    Contras: A liderança sênior é fraca, não tem conhecimento técnico dos assuntos e alguns são arrogantes e só sabem repetir o que os superiores falam. Falta de meritocracia nas promoções.
