Role Summary/Purpose:

The Inventory Planning Leader is responsible for leading the inventory planning and forecasting of spare parts required across different platforms and streams present in the region in order to meet fulfillment and financial metrics. Work together with of global planning & inventory team, coordinating local planning organization and ensuring regional demands/specificities are properly met.

Essential Responsibilities:
* Working with Global Planning & Inventory team, ensure optimal inventory is planned, maintained to support Services External Sales, Internal Services, Warranty & FSA Streams Fulfillment in Latam
* Identify opportunities for reduction in inventory commitments and risk mitigation, without sacrificing fulfillment by developing programs with suppliers or internal GE functions
* This responsibility covers Latam internal & external customer base and markets
* High level objective is to Optimize Internal and External fulfillment and Inventory asset investments, meet financial targets, increase inventory turns
* Support inventory management and controllership in Brazil warehouses with Leadership, answers on questions involving managing inventory assets
* Manage Slow moving inventory and drive programs to reduce/eliminate
* Prepare for and Lead Inventory and Planning review sessions with Global Inventory & Planning Manager, Latam Finance and LeadershipUnderstand, collect information on product configuration
* Work with Global Planning Configuration team member and regional team members to ensure critical parts are identified and planned
* Support annual Op plan analysis and construction and ongoing inventory financial rhythms (quarterly, SII, OP Plan, and Blue Print)
* Focal point to gather feedback from internal and external customers in Brazil
* Collect data, solicit feedback and leading indicators from Services functions, FRO and Product Service, Design Engineering teams and Sales teams to identify fleet failure trends, future consumption trends, potential product issues
* Identify risk early and feed information to other global planners
* Review Backorders and Special Stock Orders (SSO's) weekly, analyze data, present root causes, containment & corrective actions, educate internal customers and management regarding Planned and Unplanned itemsDeliver levels, Feedback to Global Flow Parts and Capitals Leaders regarding Planned Item adjustmentsLook around corners" and identify risk early on in the process
* Communicate with Product Service, Warranty teams Globally, identify quality issues early on and identify changes or additions to stock levels
* Work with Fulfillment, Field Services, Warehouse and Operations teams both regional and globally to execute inventory reduction programs such as relabeling of Superseded parts, Slow Moving Inventory & Transformation reduction opportunities
* Reduce backordered lines by regular Backorder analysis and making decisions on inventory levels Work with Sourcing to generate Forecasts for parts in an effort to reduce costs and shorten lead times
* Drive continuous improvement to simplify processes and eliminate waste
* Manual Planning of critical parts assigned
* Re-plan regional inventory 2x annually, proactive understanding of consumption trends
* Attainment of LAT’s for issues, implement changed plan or new plans for items
* Review Brazil SMI regularly for opportunities to transform
* Break down kits; reduce SMI by transformationMaximize inventory turn, on-time delivery and material availability while managing dynamic inventory
* Coordinate the PN item activation and supersedes in the local ERPs according to global guidance and regional needs

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Operations)
* +3 years experience in materials management, fulfillment, operations, inventory control in Field Services businesses
* Strong technical and functional experience with spare parts and services processes
* High level skills in all Microsoft Office tools required (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook...) & Oracle and SAP ERP processes
* Demonstrated multi-year direct and indirect leadership experience leading cross-functional teams
* Demonstrated abilities for team work
* Proactive and takes ownership, ability to interface with all functions and all levels of management
* Ability to speak English fluently

Desired Characteristics:
* Knowledge of wind turbine parts and their applications
* APICS certification in material and inventory management
* Knowledge in methods and tools used in data analytics
* Problem-solving skills and ability to balance multiple priorities/deals at a time under high time pressure
* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
* Project management & presentation skills with ability to work across functions and all levels of management
* Strong oral and written communication skills
