We are looking to hire a General Manager that will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for Roche Diagnostics Brazil in alignment with the Divisional, EMEA-LATAM and LATAM strategies, developing and implementing plans to achieve the short-term and long-term business objectives of the business in Brazil. This includes responsibility for all main financial goals as well as responsibility for the legal entity in Brazil and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Brazil affiliate is comprised by approximately > 300 employees, generating over 175 million CHF in Sales.

Your key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

This position acts as the official representative for Roche Diagnostics in dealing with the government agencies and industry associations. Responsibilities and powers reserved of this position are defined in and based on the “Delegation of Authorities” Manual.

Full responsibility for P&L for the local organization;
* Delivering financial commitments (sales/profit) to optimize short term performance and long term sustainable growth;
* Establishing appropriate budget goals aligned with internal strategy and external marketplace
* As member of Latam Executive Team you will represent interests and needs of Latin America subregion in all divisional and regional forums with the aim of providing visibility and understanding of business opportunities as well as specific market regulations to ensure adequate prioritization and resource allocation.

Setting strategic direction and leading strategy execution:
* Developing and implementing a mid to long term local strategic plans aligned with subregional and global strategies
* Developing strategy/tactic plans to achieve appropriate access goals, including pricing and reimbursement and ensure accelerated business development
* Maximizing opportunities and minimizing risk exposure by knowing the local economic, market and industry trends
* Strengthening and improving the image of Roche and the Diagnostics/Healthcare industry acting as company representative with important external stakeholders, e.g. government and regulatory officials, health authorities, media and key opinion leaders
* As a member of the Latam executive team, you will share best practices across the subregion with the other CMs/GMs
* Effective People Leadership as demonstrated by the Roche Values, Leadership Commitments and the Roche Core
* Creating a culture that adapts rapidly to changes and uncertainty, prepare to lead and effectively commercialize the intake of innovation, always connected to the company purpose.

To be successful in this role you bring the following experiences and competencies:
* PHD, MBA, Master or equivalent
* Knowledge of the healthcare market and good working knowledge in finance, HR and IT
* 10 years of solid commercial experience
* At least 5 years in managing P&L in roles involving exposure to sales & marketing with close involvement in finance, HR and related supporting functions.
* Previous experience as General Manager/Country Manager or similar responsibilities is required
* Proven record of ensuring strong financial governance and for consistently meeting or exceeding financial and/or other quantitative targets, as well as qualitative goals
* Solid exposure leading business planning processes, including development and implementation of such plans, goals and metrics
* Strong strategic as a well as interpersonal skills, including being able to focus to create value, mobilize the organization and deliver results
Successful leadership track record, living & demonstrating Roche leadership commitments
* You will have built empowered teams and held them accountable for their actions, encouraging them to take smart risks along the way.
* Solid people management experience, grooming successful teams and fostering a working culture that is transparent, values driven and ensures personal growth of employees.
* Fluency in English is required. Portuguese is a plus
* It will be required to develop the fluency on Portuguese language in 6-12 months

    Contras: Difícil acesso se não for de carro ou fretado pois a empresa fica na beira da marginal. Para mim este é o único ponto negativo a ser apontado

    Contras: Lenta, burocrática, sem experiência em mercados competitivos, processos bastante robustos e engessados, pouca flexibilidade, gasta muito em tópicos desnecessários.
