Business Development Director

Business Development Director

This role on the Aerospace Latin America Leadership team owns the acceleration of regional revenues through business development (~50%), strategy (~25%), and commercial excellence (~25%). The position will identify growth opportunities with both existing and new customers, implement and refine strategies to capitalize on a wide range of growth opportunities, and will lead common cross-enterprise standards to deploy strategy into actionable sales activities through the utilization of common sales tools and processes.

Main Responsibilities
* Strategic insight, analytical rigor and financial assessments of potential growth customers, partnerships, channels, and opportunities as well as post-alliance analysis and integration
* Develop & implement a strategic plan resulting in tangible accelerated regional growth
* LATAM portfolio & market expertise to drive efficiencies across a matrix organization
* Create and execute a rigorous management operating system (MOS) that integrates the coordinated review and execution of the sales pipeline, account opportunities and leads across the entire enterprise with routine engagement with each business
* Ownership of measurable and sustainable initiatives to improve performance; develop programs and metrics that increase critical sales behaviors and outcomes around win rate, deal velocity, customer retention and forecast accuracy

YOU MUST HAVE

Basic Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
* 8+ years of experience in business development, strategic marketing, and / or commercial excellence
* Excellent written and verbal communications
skills in English and in Portuguese
* High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, including PowerPoint and Excel
* Ability to travel throughout Latin America and Internationally

* Post-graduate business degree (e.g. MBA)

* Success working across all levels of a cross functional organization to drive growth initiatives and to lead, influence and continuously improve people and processes
* Proven capability to translate strategies into practical sales plans, best practices and operational structures with a broad portfolio of business model and industry vertical commercial experiences
* Strong project management skillset; Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks
* Practical skills in managing large IT/data intensive platform projects including SAP, Salesforce and other business intelligence analytical tools
