Job Description Overview
SAP Ariba is the world’s business commerce network. The Buyer Integrator (BI) is accountable for driving a buyer's integration initiative with the Ariba Network to automate their buying processes and drive collaborative commerce with tier suppliers. The BI consults buyer projects on integrating with the Ariba Network to electronically transact commerce via Ariba solutions. The BI's responsibilities include implementation of the technical components of the Ariba Network connectivity solutions and providing technical guidance for suppliers using cXML and EDI to automate their commerce transactions via the Ariba Network. The BI serves as the Ariba Network expert on integration options and customer requirements, mentor to junior co-workers, and influencer of resources that impact the customer's success. The BI will demonstrate the ability to oversee multiple programs and provide technical support as they grow their knowledgebase of Ariba tools and technology. Project management and strong technical background is required to effectively drive customer projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Articulate and present Ariba’s Network capabilities and value verbally, in writing, and via presentations to various stakeholders and their support/implementation teams.
Engage with Buyers independently with minimal manager/leadership over site.
Lead and facilitate customer integration sessions to identify and document customer requirements.
Consult customers and advise System Integrators who work with suppliers on ecommerce integration options and recommended processes.
Advise buyers on creative and flexible solutions to speed integration and ultimately transactions to drive their business.
Lead regular scheduled conference calls to ensure project status is tracking as planned.
Ability to manage multiple projects across different programs liaising with key functional areas.
Coordinate and manage testing process with customer from engagement to deployment.
Assist in resolving issues related to transmission of electronic documents via the Ariba Network.
Assist in resolving issues with the SAP Ariba adapters.
Assist in troubleshooting adapter issues faced during AN integration.
Lead and influence resources that impact success. Including management of and delegating tasks to resolve issues to other teams/individuals when necessary.
Issue / Status Tracking– Provides weekly updates and escalates critical issues to management in a timely manner.
SAP technical experience with IDOC integration, BASIS, SAP ERP knowledge (MM/SD) preferred. Experience with SAP ERP Integration solutions including Netweaver, PI / PI Mapping, CI, Add-On, ECC.
Driven individual that challenges internal and external customers to provide timely follow up to improve cycle times.
Superior communication skills both written and verbal with a willingness to pick up the phone when email isn’t getting the job done.
Strong understanding of how document flow and data translation occurs between ERP systems specifically SAP and other accounting applications such as Oracle, Netsuite, Peachtree and Quickbooks.
Understanding of the functional processes involved in OnDemand solutions (Invoice Pro, Procure to Pay, POIA) and the electronic transactions that support them.
Understanding and exposure to EAI, Middleware, and other integration tools.
Ability to adapt support style to align with the technical capabilities of the customer.
Strong Supply Chain knowledge
Understand of Procurement and Payable processes.
Spanish language skills will be decisive
Basic Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT Consulting
Demonstrated experience in project management, with a focus on organizational change preferred.
Ability to compile status of all projects and provide regular reports to Management.
Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment and influence others that impact success.
Ability to work in different environments (office, home-office, inside customer)
Experience creating and delivering presentations on project related work to team members, management, and customers.
Flexibility to adjust regular business hours to the needs of global customers.
Strong technical and customer facing experience.
Experience with XML, Web Services, WSDL and communication protocols of business documents (VAN, AS2, HTTP post, etc.).
Experience with developing code understanding and reading.
Up to 30% travel.
Proactive problem solver with ability to tap into any resources available to address functional and technical challenges.
Fluency in English is mandatory.
