Facebook is seeking a lead for Business Development and Mobile Partnerships who is passionate about technology, truly connecting people through social media, the mobile eco-system and business strategy. Business Development at Facebook is responsible for negotiating partnerships that enhance our product offerings, generate new revenue streams, drive distribution of the Facebook portfolio of services, generate new users for the company, or otherwise add value to the Facebook user experience. This position is full-time and will be based in our Sao Paulo office.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as one of two business development leads in Brazil dedicated to growing Facebook’s user base and engagement through partnerships

  • Work with Facebook platform team to identify partnerships that connect consumers and developers to make the world more connected on Facebook

  • Work with Facebook engineering team on partnership opportunities that evaluate and explore strategic opportunities

  • Represent Facebook in meetings with executives from other companies in LATAM

  • Be a source of deep insights about the mobile industry and global ecosystem partners

  • Collaborate with partners and developers throughout the development process, ensuring that the final product supports Facebook’s goals as well as the partner’s, and is the best possible experience for users

  • Execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree required

  • JD or MBA preferred

  • Extensive negotiation experience, including comfort with legal aspects of negotiations

  • Available to travel at least 50% of the time

  • 10+ years of negotiation and partner management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • International experience preferred

  • Proven commercial leadership with business development and operational experience at start-ups or large consumer Internet / technology companies

  • Strong technical competence and interest

  • Highly strategic and capable of driving internal stakeholders to a consensus on important issues

  • Extensive knowledge of online business models and Internet/consumer/mobile technology

  • Proven track record with high standards of professionalism

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships

  • Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision

  • Prior experience working in a high-growth or start-up technology company

  • Mobile industry related experience
